SLJ-Weaving a Tall Tale…

I would like to try weaving because it would be very practical. I could make bags with them so I could use those instead of plastic bags so I could save the planet. I would make great gifts and decorations.

  1. Kia Ora, Samantha!

Well done for completing this activity 'Weaving a Tall Tale' — I'm pleased to read that you would like to have a go at weaving the harakeke (flax) and for providing the reason of that being a practical skill! It is such a useful skill to have— last year my whaea (aunty) taught me how to weave. I sat with her for about 3-4 hours and wove my own wallet.
I'm so happy to hear that you'd use your skill to weave bags so that you would not have to use plastic bags anymore. Speaking of plastic bags, did you know that most major supermarkets no longer stock single-use plastic bags as of yesterday? What do you think about that?

Don't forget, when we use an image we need to make sure that we attribute the image— that means that we have to give credit to this image. We can give credit to an image by giving it a correct name (for example: Image of scrambled eggs) and saying where it came from along with a link to the web page (for example: breakfast recipes). Does that make sense? Have a go at editing this post so that you can get used to attributing images for the future.

Keep up the great work, Samantha.

    Cheers,

    Jordan
